Freddy RichardsonA Marine veteran. Former DuPont’er. With a quick sense of humor and friendly word.  Freddy Richardson is not the kind of guy you easily forget.

Now retired and living lakeside, Freddy appreciates the outdoors and a nice ride.  So, when he was ready to trade in his Jeep for a sleek black 2008 Corvette, he knew exactly where to go.

 

a Custom Approach

He headed straight for DuGood.

Although the Corvette was over 10 years old, it was in mint condition and had only 6,500 miles – such a rare find!  Freddy hoped the credit union would see its value.

“I’ve been a member of DuGood FCU for 40 years,”  Freddy said.

Since joining, he had financed most of his vehicles with DuGood.  This time was no exception. Not only did the credit union approve the loan, DuGood gave him a lower rate than expected.

“I believe it was because the miles and condition of the vehicle warranted special recognition.  That’s flexibility in knowing when the age of a vehicle doesn’t necessarily mean the value isn’t present,” Freddy exclaimed.

 

Growing Lifetime Relationships

As for the lending experience… Much like it had been in previous years, Freddy said it was a pleasure.

DuGood was flexible to meet what the dealership required and made the deal happen.

“Forty years have created a personal relationship with many people at DuGood. They are more friends than they are business associates,” he shared.

 

Unbeatable Service

As the sun sets over Downtown Beaumont, Freddy leans back in the driver’s seat and enjoys the crisp fall air.  

DG-022He is thankful for the sincere care he and his family have experienced at DuGood.  He lightheartedly recounts that even his 86-year-old mother, who’s a bit forgetful and makes frequent calls to the credit union about her passwords, is treated with kindness and respect.

“Always professional – and always someone who can answer a question.  Thanks for being patient and understanding,” Freddy concluded.
