For Tamara Jarrell, home is a place to gather. It’s where friends and family come for a good meal and leave with happy hearts and memories made.
She had a vision for her cozy abode. Although Tamara’s house was already filled with great stories and had been the hangout spot for many, she imagined a more open, functional kitchen and an outdoor space where folks could enjoy the pool and stay while.

As Volunteer and Food Drive Coordinator at the Southeast Texas Food Bank, she is motivated by a passion to help others.
“This was my first experience with DuGood,” Tamara said.
“There was a good offer to donate to your favorite charity and get zero closing cost.”
The fact that DuGood was a local lender and offered her a better rate also helped inspire her to make the switch.

As Tamara looks out at her poolside patio, she smiles contentedly. She recounts the laughter and squeals of her granddaughters swimming and sits back to appreciate the octopus mosaic, a labor of love of her own creation.
