CARDVALET just saved our member, Tammy $800 in fraudulent charges.
Our member, Tammy, got an alert that $1 was being debited from her checking account from a company she didn’t recognize. She immediately shut her card off through our CardValet app and contacted the credit union. Because of Tammy’s quick action, we were able to stop an $800 fraudulent transaction before it hit her account.
TIP: When you authorize a company to withdraw an automatic debit, it is common for them to send a pre-note or pre-authorization for $1 to verify the routing number and account number are correct. Be sure to review your account regularly to make sure all transactions are valid. Our CARDVALET can help protect your account with real time alert notifications, view of pending transactions, ability to set limits and restrictions and the option of turning your card on and off. CARDVALET offers this and so much more!
